Congratulations to Jodie McCann who competed in the 1500m in the European Championships in Birmingham- her first major 1500m! She ran 4:14 in a highly competitive race which would see her heat winner Georgia Hunter-Bell (world indoor champion) win the championship- well done Jodie!
Dublin Graded meeting 8: Claire O’Connor won her 1500m heat at the last Dublin Graded meet in Santry (5.19.42).Caroline Monk (Celtic DCH) ran 5.25.64 and Aoife Donaghy 5.29.74. In the Men’s race, Aaron Gibson ran 4.18.99 for 2nd in his heat and has placed 2nd overall in his category from the Dublin Graded Meet series.
IFAM, Oordegem, Belgium: We had 2 fantastic new PBs from Elizabeth Gahan in the 1500m with 4.20.20 and Faye Dervan broke 16 mins in the 5000m (15.57.61) at the IFAM, Oordegem, Belgium.
Trasna 5K, Naas: Lauren Tinkler won the women’s race with 17.20
Watford Gold: Lucy Holmes finished a fine 3rd in the 1500m (4:20).
Carlingford 5K: Orla Duffy finished 5th (16.57)
National Masters T&F championships: Paulo won double gold in the O40 in the Long Jump & Triple Jump
Rathkenny 5K: Aine O’Connor won in 18.42;
Celbridge AC 5K: Lauren Tinkler placed 2nd overall woman with 17.18, followed by Brianna McGhee 4th with a big PB of 17.47 & Karen Hayes 5th with 18.12
Antrim Coast 5K road race: Faye Dervan ran for team Ireland, finishing 4th overall with a briliant 16.04👏🏻
